The CPLI Italian Language School is a place where children, pre-K to Grade 6 feel comfortable learning Italian and where our school community families and friends can reconnect with their Italian heritage language and/or learn Italian.
Our mission for our students is that they hear and learn Italian and are able to respond in kind in different ways (verbal, physical movement, drawing) through a range of activities that involve reading, singing, drawing, or even putting on a play in Italian having read a particular story that is then portrayed with each child taking on a different role.
In order to accomplish our mission, our teachers are native to near native speakers of Italian and trained teachers experienced in second language teaching.
Our hope is that you may be interested in visiting and potentially allowing us to welcome your little one into our “piccola communitá” of Italian language learning and culture.
We offer a 1-day to 5-day program (M-F) for morning (9-12) and afternoon (1-4), with Thursday afternoon exclusively for our older students (K/Grade1-6), already attending regular English school).
Our students are immersed in the Italian language from our first day of school. Using the communicative language learning method our students learn "school ready" skills and grade level learning in Italian that transfer into their English language environment.
